Ekala prides itself on being environmentally friendly. Our farm is fully organic with a flock of 85 sheep. Other residents include two bat colonies, frogs and owls. Three inquisitive families of the slender mongoose and large groups of guinea fowl that sleep in trees that surround the Guest House. Most of the vegetables served at Ekala Guest Farm are grown organically on site including an orchard of 200 trees, mainly peaches, Almonds & apricots. Parking is secure and within the ground of the lodge, and security is of prime importance.
Ekala Guest Farm is the ideal Johannesburg Accommodation location for the 2010 soccer world Cup. Having easy access to four of the main stadiums. Soccer City, Nasrec 15 minutes, Ellis Park 40 minutes, Loftus Versveld 60 minutes and Royal Bafokeng. Also conveniently situated to Johannesburg's major tourist attractions including 15 minutes from the Apartheid Museum and the Nasrec exhibition centre. Also close to Sedibeng/Midvaal new Heineken Brewery.
